Julie-Ann, Breeder at House of Mitchkoff

I am a GCCF-registered breeder of British Shorthair cats based in Ashford, Kent, UK. My passion for breeding and showing cats has grown from a lifelong love of animals and a deep commitment to preserving and improving the breed.

With over 30 years of experience breeding show Dobermans in South Africa, I have now dedicated myself to the British Shorthair, particularly the British Blue, here in the picturesque village of Shadoxhurst, Kent.

My Breeding Program

As a hobby breeder, my focus is on breeding well-socialised, healthy, and affectionate kittens for loving pet homes. Occasionally, I may have kittens that are suitable for showing or breeding. My cattery has grown over the years, and I now have six breeding queens and one stud.

Progress in the Show Ring

Since starting my journey into showing, I have progressed significantly, with my queens achieving multiple first and second-place awards. One of my girls is one certificate away from earning a Grand Champion title, and another one certificate away from Champion and she is only 1 year and 6 months old demonstrating the quality and potential of my breeding program.
